Wegter (Est 1916) has been around for over 100 years. We are confident to say we have some knowledge and experience. Frans Wegter started a store in "galleries" in Delden, Overijssel. We now speak of: kitchen, table, home. Ten years later Wegter also became an importer supplying other stores in Twente. In the 70's the catering wholesale followed as a customer group. Through Nico (the son of Frans) and later Frans jr. and Marc (Nico's sons) the company grew into what it is today: a thriving company with a team of 45 employees, which not only does the distribution for supplier brands but also successfully develops and markets its own brands. We have been based in Oldenzaal since 2007.
Within the product domain "kitchen and table" we connect producers and end users. These can be consumers, like you and me, but also professionals. We like to think with our customers, source products when necessary or desired or develop a completely new concept. We supply a wide range of crockery, cutlery, glassware or even complete packages of kitchen inventory.
We are a family-owned business with more than 100 years of history. Wanting to leave something good for those who come after us is ingrained in our DNA. It helps us make choices that are responsible not only now, but also toward the future. For us, that is the definition of sustainability: doing the right thing within the possibilities available and striving for a better world in everything we do.
