Dutch innovation since 1891.
Philips was founded in Eindhoven in 1891 by Gerard Philips and his father Frederik. What began as the production of electric light bulbs grew into an internationally renowned Dutch brand in which innovation and technical development have been central for generations. Philips has also made a name for itself in the field of household appliances with products that combine technology with practicality and distinctive design.
