Porcelain
Porselein is een mengsel van veldspaat, kaolien en kwarts. Deze mineralen worden in een bepaalde verhouding gemengd en vergruisd. Vervolgens wordt dit mengsel vermengd met water en met behulp van een mal gevormd tot een product. Dit ruwe product (biscuit genaamd) wordt meestal eerst gebakken op circa 1100℃.
